Aetna Mfg. Company became the pioneer of Mist Cooling with its introduction of the "Mistic Mist"  Spray Mist Unit in 1954.  Our unique system forms a chilled spray mist at the nozzle tip rather than at the tank.  Thus, the spray cools and lubricates.  Today, the Mistic Mist Line has a unit for all facets of machining applications, milling, drilling, turning, grinding, stamping, broaching, boring, & sawing.

During the 1960's, Aetna developed and patented a high speed spindle for use in drilling, milling, & grinding operations that required a small tool bit to be rotated at a fast speed. Today, we continue to manufacture this high speed spindle with the various updates as customers & technology dictate. We have added a feedback system between spindle & controller that monitors the RPM, so as to maintain the RPM chosen by operator. Also "air pressurized" bearing chamber helps keeps coolant out.

With the knowledge of spindles and precision bearings, Aetna launched a 'state of the art' spindle repair facility. Today, we continue to strive for excellence and superior work on most any brand of machining spindle. Customers from all around the U.S. send us their spindles for rebuilding.
